ARTH provided technical assistance to enhance the capacity of a network of eight field based NGOs implementing community based reproductive and child health programmes in rural areas of northern Rajasthan. Series of field visits and orientation meetings were organised to assess the NGOs’ organisational needs and to foster consensus among them on maternal health programme approaches. ARTH helped them in implementation and maintaining MIS.

Key activities undertaken:

  • Monthly two-day workshops of the NGO staff personnel on issues related to reproductive health and rights, health policies, primary health care system, socio economic and gender influences on RCH, role of PRIs in health.
  • Ongoing support through field visits and consultations during the process of implementing interventions, so as to add technical depth to the network’s efforts in supervising and monitoring the project.
