Each health center was providing services to a total population of approximately 20,000.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-7387b849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ARTH provided the following support:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Skill based training to nurse midwives and NGO managers (12 and 8 weeks).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supplied checklists, clinical management formats etc<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supplied list of medicines &amp; equipment, formats for registers, job aids (e.g. ANC card, labor form, child health card), MIS formats, tools for drug &amp; financial management etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Refresher \u2013 review meetings with NMs &amp; NGO managers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Guidance on managerial and programmatic issues, including detailed standard operating procedures for running and managing the health centres<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Training materials including training manuals, pictorial booklets for VHW training<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Site visits<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"200\" height=\"134\" src=\"https:\/\/arth.in\/new-arth-website\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Copy-of-supporting-ngo-large.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-941\" style=\"width:259px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"200\" height=\"134\" src=\"https:\/\/arth.in\/new-arth-website\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Copy-of-supporting-ngo-large2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-942\" style=\"width:259px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Between April 2008 and March 2010, these centres have seen 14411 patients in OPD and 5573 patients in field clinics. In such models, economies of scale can be realised, by applying the norms of a revenue model. These models are an alternative to gynaecologist and doctor driven MNH service models.
